Festival Mission

The mission of Feminist Border Arts (FBA) is to advance practice-based research in the creative humanities through cultural production, curation, and circulation.

FBA explores the intersections of feminist and queer theory, media-making as praxis, and public scholarship. Projects include the Feminist Border Arts Film Festival, Zine Fest, GenXProf social media, digital storytelling, Cat's Sticker Club, and FBA Studio, an independent publishing imprint. Together, these initiatives demonstrate how feminist and queer scholarship can take creative form and circulate beyond traditional academic spaces.

FBA brings together community members, learners, artists, and scholars through creative expression and public engagement. By connecting scholarship, art, and everyday cultural practices, FBA seeks to expand possibilities for research-creation and knowledge production within and beyond the interdisciplinary field of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, contributing to critical inquiry and positive social change.
